About Us
what's a Clarine?
La Clarine Farm>About LCF

Our small, 10 acre farm is divided up into several "sub-farms".  We have about 5 acres dedicated to wine growing and another 4 acres for our herd of American Alpine goats.  We also have olive, fig and cherry trees tucked into various corners, and a small herb garden.  Bees complete the picture by adding their unique energy to our surroundings.

We view our farm as an "entity".  All the various pieces work together.
From our goats we get the milk to make our soaps (and cheeses).  The manure is composted and used on our vines, trees and herbs.
We promote eco-diversity in the vineyard by using native plants as a cover crop and by leaving large patches of native vegatation throughout .
Our herbs and honey are used for soapmaking and in the vineyard to control disease and insects.

One cornerstone is the use of biodynamics on the entire farm to build a healthy soil and atmosphere.
A healthy environment grows healthy plants, animals and people.
